Rituals
Rituals are a wonderful way to mark major life transitions with intentionality.
When I turned 60, my fellow seminarians and I created a ritual to honor our path to becoming elders. One by one, we held up a symbol of something we were grieving as we aged (Jimmy Choo high heels; a clock; a pair of soccer cleats). Then each of us reflected on what we were gaining by embracing the much-maligned archetype of the crone. The experience–planning, rehearsing and then enacting the ritual–was powerful.
Rituals need not be elaborate to be impactful; a simple, well-designed ritual can foster personal growth, especially during times of change.
Are you curious about creating a ritual to mark a significant life event? I would love to help you celebrate an important milestone, including:
Special birthdays
Retirement
Job change
Coming out
Divorce
Moving from a beloved home
Blessing a new house.
Let's explore together.
Ceremonies
Interfaith ceremonies draw on multiple faith traditions to reflect the distinct identities of each participant. I believe in co-creating personalized ceremonies that combine the beauty of our ancestral traditions with the essence of each individual.
A great ceremony leaves a lasting impact. I would be honored to work with you on creating a sacred experience for your:
Wedding
Baby Blessing
Funeral
Naming/Gender Transition Ceremony
